Carl Sandburg, American Poet and Biographer

Carl Sandburg (1878-1967) was an American writer and editor, best known for his poetry. Sandburg earned Pulitzer Prizes for his collection The Complete Poems of Carl Sandburg, Corn Huskers, and for his biography of Abraham Lincoln (Abraham Lincoln: The War Years). Sandburg supported the civil rights movement, and contributed to the NAACP.
