Still unfilled cans containing a "Nivea Men" deodorant travel through the production line at Beiersdorf's new plant. Hamburg-based Dax company Beiersdorf officially opened its new production center in Leipzig on the same day. After a construction period of about two years and with an investment of almost 300 million euros, Beiersdorf had started its cosmetics production in the Leipzig production center at the beginning of May. Three lines are currently in operation, with two more to follow in the near future. Up to 450 million cosmetic products are then expected to roll off the production line each year - in particular deodorants, hair sprays, and shaving foams for the entire European market and for export.
