Ostrakon of Cimon, an Athenian statesman, Fragment of Greek Pottery, c5th century BC. Ostrakon showing name (as Kimon [son] of Miltiades), used when voting to exile (ostracise) the person whose name is scratched on the pot Miltiades. He was dismissed and ostracized from Athens in 463 BC.
