Peer's Daughter Weds In Abbey: Queen Present -- The lovely 18-year-old bride and her bridegroom emerge from Westminster Abbey after the 'wedding of the year.' With the Queen, the Duke of the Edinburgh and other members of the Royal family as guests, the former Miss. Frances Roche, daughter of Lord and Lady Fermoy, was married in the Abbey to Viscount Althorp, 30, only son and heir of the Earl and Countess Spencer. The bride's gown is of camellia while faille embroidered all over with silver sequins, crystals, and hand-cut diamonds. June 1, 1954.
