The girlfriend and later wife of the American Rock'n Roll singer Elvis Presley had crossed the cordon of police to take leave of Elvis before his flight back to the States. Presley was deployed as a soldier in Hesse and got to know the stepdaughter of a Canadian air force officer in Bad Nauheim in 1959. They married in Las Vegas in 1967. 02/03/1960
