The painting offers a view of the Jan van Houtkade from the Zoeterwoudse Singel. There are trees on the quay. To the left of the quay is a staircase that leads to the canal. The Jacobsgracht runs right behind this staircase. Houses are located on the Jan van Houtkade as well as on the Jacobsgracht. Not signed. The painting is in a gilded wooden frame.
