Vasudhara. Culture: Nepal, Kathmandu Valley. Dimensions: H. 5 5/16 in. (13.5 cm); W. 3 7/8 in. (9.8 cm). Date: 14th-15th century. The Vasudhara-kalpa ritual text describes the six-armed Vasudhara (Sanskrit: "stream of gems") as a goddess of wealth, golden in color, who sits in royal ease holding her lower right hand in a boon-granting gesture (varada mudra) while jewels flow from her left.
