Turkey, Istanbul, Istanbul, Sleymaniye Cami (Mosque of Suleiman). View Sleymaniye Cami, Mosque of Suleiman, imposing but graceful depressed dome according to Byzantine stylistic standards. The middle wall, crowned by a wide spanning stepped arch, is lighted by a goodly number of windows and is harmoniously laid on the three domes below, which are likewise matched by the two other domes in the corners. 2009 photograph.
