German invasion to Poland on the 1st of September in 1939. German soldiers remove a turnpike at the former customs border from Zoppot to Gdingen. On the same day, Hitler announced the outbreak of World War II by saying "It is shot back since 5.45 a.m." (Although the actual time of attack was 4.45).
