Eruption on Surtsey, a volcanic island in the small archipelago of Vestmannaeyjar (Westman Islands, in English) off the south coast of Iceland.  It was created in a volcanic eruption that reached the ocean's surface on 14 November 1963 and lasted until 5 June 1967.
