Mondoñedo, province of Lugo, region of Mariña Central, Galicia, Spain. Pasatiempo Bridge (Ponte do Pasatempo). Bridge of medieval origin over the river Valiñadares, with a single semicircular arch. It was restored by the end of the 18th century. Its name is due to the legend of the Pasatiempo Bridge, which tells that in 1483 the enemies of the Galician marshal Pedro Pardo de Cela (1425-1483), while he was being sentenced to death on the scaffold, tried to delay the arrival of Isabel de Castro, his wife, who was bearing the pardon she had obtained for her husband.
