Entablature of the prostylos at Selinunte, Italy, (1928). '2nd Half of 3rd Century B.C...Entablature of the prostylos B. at Selinus [Selinunte, ancient Greek city]...founded 628 B.C. and destroyed by the Carthaginians in 409 B.C. It is possible that the little prostylos B. should be dated after 249 B.C. when Selinus was destroyed by the Carthaginians'. After R. Koldewey and O. Puchstein.
