Model of the Construction of a Timber Ship, Model of the cross-section of a midship ship, with three decks. One side is planked, as well as half of the upper deck, the other shows only the timber and beams. The hull shape is completely square, the bottom composed of two layers of straight beams supported by two keels, the floor beams protrude beyond the ship's wall, so that an edge is created at the bottom, which is flattened. The sides consist of vertical, wooden, planked on one side. Two knees with ten brass pins are arranged on one side in the crests, but these knees do not occur elsewhere in the construction. The decks are indicated by deck beams and mowers supported by three rows of deck struts projecting above the upper deck, deck beams and struts are inserted into the sides and bottom with half-timber connections, Columbus (ship), anonymous, c. 1824, wood (plant material), brass (alloy), h 24 cm × w 33.5 cm × d 17.8 cm.
