US troop transport to Berlin leads through Soviet zone

Vehicles of the 34th US infantry regiment driving on the interzonal autobahn through the Soviet zone on their way to Berlin on 7th October 1963. The American soldiers, coming from the FGR, had to drive through the Soviet zone to relieve and reinforce the US troops already stationed in Berlin. The journey proceeded without any problems. 07/10/1963
