One of the main meeting places of the Nazi Party in its early days, the Bürgerbräukeller was the location from where Adolf Hitler launched the Beer Hall Putsch on 8 November 1923. After the Nazis came to power in 1933 they met there annually to commemorate the anniversary of the failed uprising.
