Refik Hamit Tulga was a Turkish soldier and politician

Refik Hamit Tulga (1907 - 1981) Turkish soldier and politician. He served as Washington Attache between 1947-1950. Since 1954, he served as the President's Chief Adjutant and Guard Regiment Commander for two years. After the May 27 Coup in 1960, he was appointed as the Governor and Mayor of Istanbul. Most recently, he served as the Head of the NATO Turkish Military Delegation in Brussels.
