Caption: The Ottoman Sultan Bayazid in a cage at Timur's court- the capture of Sultan Bayazid I of Turkey. The Sultan is confined within a cage upon a pillar above the emperor Timur and his court. Timur is seated on a throne raising a wine-cup, and his ministers kneel on either side. Two groups of courtiers are on the left and right of Bayazid’s cage, those on the right with three coffers and gold coins.
