PLAYWRIGHTS DELUGE FAMOUS MANAGER WITH ONE THOUSAND PLAYS IN LONDON : Mr Al Woods, the owner of the Eltinge Theatre in New York, who is in London to produce a play, announced that he would be glad to read new plays. As a result one thousand plays were sent to him at his London hotel, and more are continuing to arrive. Mr Woods chose one play at random from the pile, read it through, and promptly bought it.
