Air Commodore E.G. Knox-Knight. OBE, RAAF, of Melbourne, graduated from No.1 Flying Training School; Point Cook, in 1926 and during the years prior to the Second World War held a number of appointments including the Command of No.101 Flight and of the Training Depot, Laverton. In June 1940 he was appointed to Command No. 10 Squadron operating at that time under Coastal Command, RAF.
