Tokyo Station

[ 1930s Japan - Tokyo Station ] Tokyo Station, located in the Marunouchi business district of Tokyo, near the Imperial Palace grounds and the Ginza commercial district. The building was designed by architect Kingo Tatsuno (, 18541919) to celebrate Japans victory in the Russo-Japanese War. The station was completed on December 18, 1914 (Taisho 3), and opened on the 20th. From a series called Great Tokyo (, Dai Tokyo). 20th century vintage postcard.
