HOME WITH HIS HONG KONG BRIDE. Taking a first look at Britain at Southampton are the wife and eleven-month-old baby of pilot II John Bartrum (seen behind), R.A.F. of Bembridge, Isle of Wight. The family were passengers in the ' Empire Trooper ' which had arrived from the Far East. Mrs Bartrum , and Eurasian girl born in Swatow , China, was formerly a stewardess on Hong Kong Airways. Pilot II Bartrum met his bride to be Doreen Joan - at the wedding in Hong Kong of a fellow RAF pilot. 16 October 1950.
