The carriage has a swirl bolt that travels into the channel of the carriage, an elevator screw that can be set in two positions, one for howitzer and one for a gun, and a baking iron. The sledge is a long frame with a trench in the middle and is rounded at both ends with an eye for a spindle bolt. Eye bolts are mounted on the corners of the carriage and the carriage.
