'The Star Chamber', (1881). Interior of the Star Chamber in Old Palace Yard, Westminster, London. The Chamber was an English court of law which sat at the royal Palace of Westminster from the late 15th century to the mid-17th century. The ceiling, richly decorated with with gold stars, was saved when the building was demolished. From Old and New London: A Narrative of Its History, Its People, and Its Places.
