Alfonso XIII (1886 – 1941) was King of Spain from 1886 until the proclamation of the Second Republic in 1931. Alfonso, Prince of Asturias, (1907 – 1938), heir apparent to the throne of Spain from birth until he renounced his rights in 1933. He died as a result of a car accident. his haemophilia led to fatal internal bleeding.
