German World War I crew of German Raider ship with wounded men and a gun turret in background.  1928 silent film by Director: Louis Ralph by Writer: Kapitän-leutnant Hellmuth von Mücke.  Mücke was the Executive Officer and First Lieutenant of the German Light Cruiser SMS Emden of the Imperial German Navy during her successful career as a commerce raider in the autumn of 1914.  The Emden was a vessel in the German East Asia Squadron based at Tsingtao. The squadron's commander detached it to raid commerce in the Indian Ocean while he attempted to bring the rest of the squadron back to Germany around Cape Horn..
