The Treaty of Versailles was the most important of the treaties of Paris that ended World War I in 1919/1920. The Treaty of Versailles was signed in the Palace of Versailles on the 28th of June in 1919 between Germany and 27 allied and associated powers. It became law on the 20th of January in 1920. Without German participation, the peace treaty was negotiated about between Wilson, Lloyd George, Clemenceau and Orlando (the "Big Four") from the 18th of January in 1919 on. On the 7th of May in 1919 the text was sent to the German delegation. On the 16th of June in 1919, the acceptance of contract was demanded within five days. 30/11/1918
