Title: Fluorite, Color Suite
Caption: Fluorite (calcium fluoride) is a very common mineral in ore deposits and sedimentary rocks throughout the world. It forms excellent and spectacular crystals, sometimes quite large, and impurities create a wide range of colors. Color banding is often present. Faceted gems over 1,000 carats have been cut. These stones range from about 38 to 153 carats.
