Paphos, Cyprus: Pillar of Paul. At Paphos are remains of largest early Christial basilica (4th century), where, according to tradition, the pillar is supposed to be where the apostle Paul was flogged at some time before the Roman Governor Sergius Paulus was converted to Christianity.
