France, Auxerre Cathedral (Cathedrale Saint-Etienne d'Auxerre), west facade, central portal

The cathedral was built from 1215 to the 1540s, mostly in Gothic style. The sculptures on the three doorways of the west facade of the Cathedral of St-Etienne dates from the 13th century. The central portal, seen here, is composed of physically disparate sections, that were built until around 1400. The tympanum features the Last Judgment, and the archivolts - scenes from the lives of the apostles.
