UNDERGROUND OF THE COVO OF VIA PAOLO DA CANNOBIO

FASCISM The dungeons of the "Covo", the usual bivouac of the armed guard of "Il Popolo d'Italia", which had its first seat on the upper floors; on the back wall the slogan appears: "Me frego" coined by Benito Mussolini. After the transfer of the newspaper to via Lovanio, the "Covo", transformed into a permanent museum of the "Fascist Revolution", was proclaimed "national monument" starting from November 15th 1939, and then the seat of the "School of fascist mysticism Sandro Italico Mussolini" , founded by Niccolò Giani (20 June 1909 - 14 March 1941) together with a group of GUF students with the aim of training future leaders of the National Fascist Party.
