Geronimo (June 16, 1829 - February 17, 1909) was a leader and medicine man of the Chiricahua Apache who fought against Mexico and the US for their expansion into Apache tribal lands for several decades during the Apache Wars. During Geronimo's final period of conflict from 1876 to 1886 he surrendered three times and accepted life on the Apache reservations in Arizona. Aaron B. Canady, 1907 (cropped and cleaned).
