Windmill glass Mole glass with the arms of Stadholder Prince Maurits and Bergen op Zoom, high, funnel-shaped chalice of a flute glass mounted under a silver mill. Along the rim of the chalice a band of blown gold leaf. On the chalice are engraved the coat of arms of Stadholder Prince Maurice, the coat of arms of the city of Bergen op Zoom and a truncated tree, from which left a branch sprouts with five orange apples and on the right a young shoot with three orange apples. To the left of the tree is the motto of Prince Maurice 'JE MAINTIENDRAY NASSAU' and to the right his motto 'TANDEM FIT SURCULUS ARBOR'. Between the two arms the year 1595. Below the representation a braided border, on which stylized fruit and flower festoons hang. A low mountain can be seen between two of the festivals. The silver mill is dated 1685 and bears the inscription 'TIS AL VOL' and along the lower edge 'Elck Wacht Sijn Ghebuerte', windmill, armorial bearing, heraldry, Bergen op Zoom, Maurits (Prince of Orange), anonymous, Nederlanden, 1595 and/or 1685, glass, silver (metal), glassblowing, h 39.9 cm w 7.7 cm d 9.9 cm.
