The Nazi Propaganda! on the back of the image reads: "The truth about Voronezh. Again and again, the English and Soviet press spread the lie that Voronezh "still" is in the Soviets' hands, and that the German infantry divisions are about to flee over the Don. The Supreme Command of the German Wehrmacht shortly and contemptuously settles scores with this unbelievable distortion of reality in its report of 21 July. The truth is that the city of Voronezh is in our permanent possession since 7 July and that all efforts of the enemy to suppress this corner bastion and regain possession with heavy attacks have failed due to the German defense power. - Our image shows that a German tank in the center of Voronezh is a proof of who owns the city."
