Indians Making Adobe Bricks

California: c. 1930 The padres taught the Indians to make the adobe bricks used in the building of the missions. The mold was loosened by a careful jiggling motion and then pulled from the formed brick. After every third brick was made, the mold was thoroughly washed to remove the sticky adobe.
