German Revolution 1918/1919: Crowds of people participate in the funeral procession for the members of the Volksmarinedivision, who died during the attack on the occupied Berlin Palace and the Marstall by government troops on 24 December 1918, in Berlin on 29 December 1918. The Volksmarinedivision was an armed division of sailors of the former Imperial Navy which supported the revolutionary efforts in Berlin. Here: the procession is pictured at Unter den Linden on its way to the Friedhof der Märzgefallenen (lit.
