displacement reaction

When a copper (II) sulfate solution is added to a test tube containing an iron nail, a single-displacement reaction occurs. Copper metal and iron (II) sulfate form as a result (Fe + CuSO4 -> Cu + FeSO4). Here, the left frame was taken seconds after the copper sulfate was added and the right frame was taken about 9.5 hours later.
