Vintage postcard showing a merchant dressed in Mexican garb selling his wares from a lean to in front of the historic Avila Adobe, the oldest standing house in Los Angeles, dating from 1818. Popular with tourists, Olvera Street is a recreation of old Mexico. A Mexican market has been held there since 1930.
