Spain, Castille-La Mancha, Ciudad Real. Puerta de Toledo Gate. Medieval construction that served as bulwark on the Royal Road between Toledo and Seville. It was built by order of King Alfonso XI of Castile (1311-1350), and was completed in 1328. It is the only preserved gate in the wall that Alfonso X commissioned to be built in 1255.
