Rt. Hon. Sir Lord Justice Geoffrey Lawrence P.C., D.S.O. who recently made history as president of the tribunal at Nuremburg which sat in judgement on that Nazi war criminals. He was educated at Haileybury and New College Oxford, and was called to the bar in 1906. He took silk in 1925, was attorney general to the Prince of Wales and a member of the Council, 1928 1932. Other appointments he has held are: Recorder of Oxford, Judge of the High Court of justice, counsel to the Jockey club, Examiner in ecclesiastical courses and was made Lord Justice of appeal. 26 October 1946.
