Miss Maggie Teyte -- A noted English soprano who arrived from London by the R.M.S Orsova today, to commence a concert tour of Australia with Mr. Tudor Davies. Miss Teyte is a native of Wolverhampton, England, and studied under Jean de Reszke, the celebrated tenor. She made her operative debut in Paris and sang for several seasons at Govent Gardens. She speaks in high praise of the work done by the British Broadcasting Corporation in fostering musical taste and Keenness in England. This is her first visit to Australia. October 2, 1933.
