Spodumene in Various Colors

Spodumene, a lithium silicate mineral, occurs in crystals (sometimes very large) of varying colors. The main localities for this gem are Brazil and Afghanistan. The most familiar color is the pink variety known as kunzite, but green and yellow stones have also found their way into the marketplace. These gems range from 1.7 to 19.3 carats.
