Makarākṣa son of Khara, depicted with a pig’s head, is sent off by Rāvaṇa to fight. He sets off in his chariot with attendants. Monkeys advance with rocks and trees along the bottom, while above Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa loose arrows at Makarākṣa. He wields his bow, then dismounted, he wields his great golden spear and ultimately falls beneath Rāma's arrows. Inscribed in the margin above the demon: Makarākṣa. Ramayana. Udaipur, c.1653.
