Bruno Hat exhibition - The Graphic. "An art hoax of the week". Shown at the spoof art exhibition held at a cocktail party given by Mr and the Hon Mrs Bryan Guinness. The artist-impersonated by the Hon Tom Mitford-as he appeared at his exhibition, an invalid with smoked glasses and a false moustache. "Bruno Hat" has now been revealed as Mr Brian Howard, son of the chairman of the National Portrait Gallery. Mr Lytton Strachey purchase one of the paintings.
