Calloway with his band and dancers onstage at the Cotton Club, NYC. Cab Calloway (1907 - 1994) was an African-American jazz singer, dancer, bandleader and actor. Calloway was a master of scat singing and led one of the most popular big bands from the 1930s-40s. By mixing jazz and vaudeville he won popular acclaim during a career that spanned over 65 years. No photographer credited, 1937 (cropped and cleaned).
