Solomon's throne, King Solomon sits on his throne. He has a scepter in his hand and on his lap is a book. According to 1 Kings 10, the throne was of ivory, overlaid with pure gold. Six steps led up to the throne, which had a round headrest at the top and armrests on either side of the seat. Beside the armrests were two lions and on the six steps were twelve lions, one on each side of each step. The man on the left is offering a gift.
