CHRISTENED JACARANDA. Jacaranda was the unusual name given the third child - a daughter - of Viscount Craigavon and his wife when she was christened today at St . Columba's Church , Pont Street , London . When in South Africa , where her husband was serving during the war , Lady Craigavon admired the blossom of the jacaranda tree and they decided to call their next daughter after it . Lord and Lady Craigavon have two older children - Janitha , born in Alexandria in 1940 ; and Janric , born in Cape town in 1944 . The Viking name Janric commemorates the fact that Lord and Lady Craigavon became engaged in Copenhagen . Lord Craigavon's father was for 19 years Prime Minster of Northern Ireland .
