(21 x 32.2 cm) Sheet: 13 7/16 x 18 1/16 in. (34.1 x 45.9 cm). Lithographer: Lithographed and published by Nathaniel Currier (American, Roxbury, Massachusetts 1813-1888 New York). Date: 1846. A two-masted sailing vessel travels to the right through rough waves. Another ship can be seen to the right in the background and a building stands on an island at left. An American flag flies from the ship's stern as well as from a pole positioned next to the building. The island possibly portrays Governor's Island in New York Harbor.
