JOHN LAING PLC. London Central Mosque and The Islamic Cultural Centre, Park Road, Regent's Park, City of Westminster, Greater London Authority, 04/08/1977. A view of the newly completed London Central Mosque taken from a high vantage point, looking over the courtyard to the east side of the building. The London Central Mosque, also known as Regent's Park Mosque, was built by John Laing & Son Ltd between 1974 and 1977. The mosque was designed by English architect Sir Frederick Gibberd, who won the international competition to design the mosque in 1969.
