International Research On Use of Tin: Laboratories in Britain Serve The World -- New alloys platings developed by the Tin Research Institute and now in commercial use: Tin-Zine as an anti-corosion coating for radio-chassis. Tin-Nickel plating on a brass fruit-bowl, needs no mechanical polishing after deposition and bas as warmer, pleasanter tone than chromium. Spoon is coated with"Speculum" a tin-copper alloy now available as a plated coating but used earlier in Greco-Roman times and in Ancient China in the form of cast mirrors hence the name.
