John Bright (1811-1889)

John Bright (1811-1889) British radical orator and statesman, born in Rochdale, Lancashire of Quaker parents. First elected as a Member of Parliament in 1843. Supported the Anti-Corn Law League, and the Reform Act of 1867.  From "Men of Mark" by Thompson Cooper (London, 1875).
